Huacaya Alpaca Throw

DETAILS:

The Huacaya breed of alpacas is the most common globally and is known for its characteristically dense fluffy wool. The adult Huacaya wool is heavy, however, the baby skins that we use are light and incredibly soft. Our baby alpaca skins are strictly those alpacas that have died naturally or killed only to maintain herd control of our partner's nomadic Peruvian herds. It is difficult to describe the softness of baby alpaca, and the light bounces off the sheen of the ultrafine fibre giving a warm atmosphere in any room. Adding to the opulence, we back the throws with a 520gsm woven alpaca fabric and line them with a felted New Zealand merino wool - both providing density and comfort to the throw. As with all other BONZ products, these throws are made in our Invercargill factory.
