Anna Gedson

A descendant of Ngati Rua – Whakatohea, Anna Gedson's work is deeply influenced by her Māori heritage. Based in Opotiki, she weaves traditional Māori arts into contemporary pieces, creating functional and decorative works that honour the past while pushing creative boundaries. Anna's intricate miniature kete, crafted from natural materials like flax, feathers, and metals, are precious taonga (treasures) that celebrate the beauty and significance of Māori culture.
