The Suri breed of alpacas makes up around 3% of alpacas globally. Our baby alpaca skins are strictly those alpacas that have died naturally or killed only to maintain herd control of our partner's nomadic Peruvian herds. The shaved Suri fibre is less suitable for yarn compared to the more popular Hyacaya, however, the long straight wool of the baby Suri cannot be bested for cushions. It is difficult to describe the softness of this fibre, and the light bounces off the sheen of the ultrafine fibre giving a warm atmosphere in any room. Adding to the opulence, we back the cushions with a 520gsm woven alpaca fabric. As with all other BONZ products, these cushions are hand made in our Invercargill factory.

The baby Suri cushions are available in 6 colours - custom dye is available with an MOQ. The most popular size is 60x40cm however, we can custom make your preferred measurements.
